Week 1 is over.

So this week is nothing like last year. I'm sure the students aren't drastically different from last year, so hopefully I'm actually a better teacher than last year! Although we started learning about the metric system (kind of boring, but a required basic), the students were well behaved. I've done two labs so far. One was "Drops on a Penny" and the other was "Metric Mania". Only my 7th period class didn't get to do both. They didn't want to participate in the activity on Wednesday, so they didn't do the lab on Thursday. Hopefully they learned the lesson - that you do what the teacher has planned, even if it doesn't sound like fun - so that they can all do the labs and I won't have to plan two lessons per day.
